Setting: Eben’s Manor

The characters have been summoned back to the manor to have breakfast and discuss the pending trip to the Fist. The house looks largely as it did before, though Marcus looks particularly haggard. He is serving eggs, bacon and biscuits with homade gravy. He serves them.

Events
- Marcus tells the PCs that they are sending them to escort the cart to The Fist, because they fear that it could be attacked by Nebiat’s forces. He mentions nothing about Nebiat or the amulet.
- They have decided to place Elle in charge of the diplomatic mission, because the war captain at the citadel is her mother’s uncle. Grond will be placed in charge of the militia contingent.
- If the PCs press for answers Marcus will be evasive. This will trigger an outburst from Daffyd who will tell them the truth. Nebiat will be coming back, and they are going to need help protecting the town. He won’t tell them about the amulet though.
- The PCs are told that they have the day to prepare. The caravan will be leaving in the morning. They are to expect attacks by undead, Orokh or even bandits. It will not be an easy trip.
