The Dragon Scar is a two mile wide hundred mile long canyon near the center of the Plains of Ebat Cen. It was created during the godswar when the Elder God known simply as The Dragon was killed in the sky high above the plains.
It fell to the earth with enough force to carve the hundred mile scar, it’s path ending in a deep canyon where it’s body still lies. This body is an immense fire catalyst, but it offers far more than that to any brave enough to explore it.
Prior to it’s death The Dragon ate at least three lesser gods, each of which still resides in it’s stomach. Adventurers who make it that far can gain three additional catalizations, in addition to any treasure they might find along the way.

Trolls of the Dragon Scar
Because there are four distinct catalysts in the Dragon Scar there are also four very different races of trolls that call the place home. The most numerous and well known are the dragonkin, those who have catalyzed directly from The Dragon herself.
These trolls begin life as lizardmen, but as the centuries pass will gradually morph into true dragons. Such a process takes many, many years, during which the troll gains a vast an uncontrollable hunger. They will devour other trolls, adventurers, or even the Orokh tribes dotting the plains around the Dragon Scar.
Less well known are the shadowy Ker’Elfen, a mysterious race of void touched trolls who have bat like wings and live in the caves dotting the canyon walls of the Scar. They hail from the god of darkness, the son of the Daughter of Night herself. Those who have tasted the blood of this god are vampyr, much like the vampyr who surround the Tree of Blood.
(Vampyr can journey to this catalyst to gain the bat like wings of the trolls that live here. They may do the same at any catalyst belonging to a child of the Daughter of Night, so there should be a Wolf like catalyst as well)

The Surrounding Lands
The plains surrounding the Dragon Scar are controlled by three very fierce tribes of savage Orokh. Orokh will eat any sentient being, and it isn’t unusual for them to raid the dragonkin in search of food. Ironically, the dragonkin frequently respond by raiding the Orokh to bring back captives to feed to the nascent dragons as they begin to evolve.
