Tainted Blood- drinking the blood that oozes from the arm changes a person in very fundamental ways. They become demonic, manifesting one or more features common to the trolls who catalize at The Arm. These include small horns that protrude from the forehead, small bat like wings or a prehensile tail. The benefits of each are listed below:
Horns- the demonic horns are far more than simply ornamental. They increase the bearer’s mental acuity, granting a +3 bonus to perception and sense motive.
Wings- While unfurled the wings allow the bearer a +2 bonus on reflex saves, and grant them the ability to float per the featherfall spell. The wings do not allow true flight.
Tail- The tail allows the bearer a +3 bonus on acrobatics checks and a +2 bonus to relex saves. It is prehensile, which means the bearer may use it to hold or grab items.
In addition to the physical manifestation the catalization also bestows resistance to void energies, granting the resist energy void spell and 6 magic points.

History
The Arm is a gruesome reminder of the awesome powers brought to bear during the Godswar. Arikian the Black, one of the most feared Elder Gods, was assaulted by a coalition of lesser gods. After a vicious conflict they forced him into full flight, but wherever Arikian fled his foes pursued.
Finally in desperation he tore a hole in the very walls of the cycle, ripping his way into the void. His pursuers followed, and in the ferocious conflict that followed the mighty god’s arm was ripped from his body. Weakened and badly wounded he fled into the shadowy confines of the void, abandoning his allies in the process.
Arikian was never seen again, but the massive arm he left behind still contains vast amounts of magical power. The black blood that seeps from the stump has formed a lake, and any who drink from it gain a portion of it’s immense power.
This journey is perilous in the extreme, however. It requires a trip through the bore that Arikian tore into the void. On the other side dozens of tribes of demons congregate around the shores of the lake of blood. Most are warlike and nearly all will attack interlopers who seek the lake.
This does little to deter the Hasran Imperium, who control the bore itself. They regularly send parties to the lake, and always bring overwhelming force to ensure that they reach it safely. The demons of the region have largely learned to steer clear of the Hasrans, though occasionally a particularly powerful tribe will attack.
