Gift of Flame- the gift of flame grants the character six spell points. They may cast the Resist Energy spell as a spell like ability, though the spell only protects against fire. In addition any fire damage absorbed by this ability heals the character for the same amount. This ability cannot give the character more hit points that their total.
This ability is particularly devestating when used by battlemages, as they may center fireballs on themselves. This does catastrophic damage to their opponents, while healing them of any wounds they may have taken.

History
During the war of the gods each of the four elements was embodied by an Elder God. These Gods were nearly unstoppable, and their wrath was feared by all, even those who fought on their side. No one remembers how the God of Flame was destroyed, but his death cannot be disputed.
His heart is a massive ruby large as a mountain, and it gives off enough heat to burn anyone who approaches to ash. Only those who possess potent magical protection may survive such a journey, and even they must deal with the the trolls drawn to the god’s massive heart.
These trolls manifest as fire elementals and even the weakest are a force to be reckoned with. The strongest elementals are so powerful that they can lay waste to entire cities before powerful heroes bring them down.
The Elentian Empire seized the Heart of Fire roughly 150 years before their downfall. They constructed a massive city around the catalyst, and used their magical prowess to build an enchanted steel reactor the completely encased it. This cut off the elementals from the reactor, all of whom were either enslaved or destroyed by the Elentians.
The city of Hasra was built to harness the power of the Reactor, and is the only city in the west with heat or magical lighting. They also control all access to the catalyst, and only those directly approved by the Imperator herself are allowed to catalyze.
