Darkvision: Guardians were created to fight demons, which often meant fighting underground. They can see up to 60ft in complete darkness.
Keen Eyes: Guardians have very keen eyes and gain a +2 bonus to perception checks.

Cultural Description
Guardians have a dubious place in the lore of the Elentian Empire, for their creation was the reason the Stewards buried the Elentians under a sea of ash. The Elentians used the Cradle of Life to forge a new race, something even the Stewards considered beyond their purvey.
Such a thing had not been done since before the godswar, and the sheer arrogance the Elentians displayed was enough to convince the Stewards that their empire must be toppled. The energies released in creating an entirely new race could have sundered the world.
Fortunately, they did not. The result of the Elentian’s gamble were the guardians, a race of winged gargoyles created to battle the hordes of demons pouring forth from the Rent. The guardians were created to be stronger and tougher than humans, and were highly resistant to magical energies. This made them ideal shock troops against demons.
The guardians were deployed in a massive offensive, and in the end they helped the Elentians push the invading demons back through the Rent. Shortly after The Fall began, and the Elentian empire was shattered.
This left the guardians homeless and confused. There was no place for them in this new world. The war they’d been created to fight was over, and most kingdoms in the West confused them with the very demons they fought. Even Hasra, the direct heir to the Elentians, turned them away at the behest of the Stewards.
Most guardians became nomads, wandering from town to town in search of a home. They often work as mercenaries, bodyguards or soldiers. This suits them, as they were bred for combat.
Religion
Most Guardians do not worship anything. The gods are dead and they were snubbed by the Stewards, so what other choice do they have?
Physical Appearance
Guardians stand between six and seven feet tall. They have mottled grey skin and hard black eyes. They posses both wings and a tail, and most are heavily muscled.
