You can discern the value of an object with a detailed examination.
Check: A DC 15 check will reveal the value of a simple or common item. A DC 20 check will determine the magical materials used to construct an Eldimagusm or the value of a rare item. If you succeed by 5 or more you can determine if the Eldimagus is finished and what element it has catalized at.
If you fail any of these checks by 5 or more you gain wildly innacurate information about the item in question.
You can also make a check to identify a large quantity of items, such as a cargo in a ship’s hold. This increases the DC of the check by 5.
Action: Appraising a single item is a standard action. Appraising a large quantity of items takes a full round action.
