The world of Argan has two moons. The smaller is an eerie white orb called Tuneri, the spirit moon. Tuneri isn’t just a celestial body in the night sky. It actually resides in the spirit realm, and represents the point at which all energy flows from the Life Realm into the Spirit Realm. When someone looks at it they are seeing into the spirit realm.
The second moon is called Aldarius, a giant purple disk that undulates and changes as the viewer watches. It resides in the dream realm, and represents the point at which all dream energy flows into the Life Realm.
If either moon is dominant in the sky it means that it’s Realm is dominant. When Aldarius is high, for example, dreams are much more vivid, and living nightmares stalk the dreams of the unwary. When Tuneri is high spirits walk the land seeking to reclaim the bodies they left behind in death.
Just as the moons represent the other Realms, the sun represents the Life Realm. It is visible from both the dream and spirit realms in the same way that the moons are visible in the Life Realm. The night sky itself represents the void, which holds dominion over the night. Life, it’s opposite in all ways, has dominion over the day.

The Seasons & the Sky
The calendar in Shattered Gods is broken down into four seasons, each with 90 days. The year begins with Spring, moves into Summer, enters Fall and ends with Winter. Each season has a corresponding element, which is considered dominant during that time. Air represents Spring, Fire represents Summer, Earth represents Fall and Water represents Winter.
Since each greater path is comprised of an element and a realm some are more powerful during certain types of the year. Summoning, for example, gains strength during the winter when there are no moons in the sky. Enchanting is strong when the sun reaches its zenith during the spring. Divination is strongest when Aldarius is full during the spring.
In game terms these changes will not influence spellcasters on a daily basis, but some powerful spells or rituals may require a certain season and celestial alignment to work. These will most often serve as backdrops for adventures, with evil summoners or binders holding dark rituals on certain unholy days.
